The role of Operations in Standard Life Aberdeen is to be at the heart of establishing and maintaining equilibrium in the firm. Through strategic and tactical operations activities, our function powers the investment management process and global distribution.

We also play a core role in facilitating the product development process and, in turn, we help to foster innovation. As well as carrying out a variety of activities in house, we work with trusted third parties to ensure we have a truly global, scalable and efficient operating platform.
We have around 1500 colleagues globally (predominantly in the UK and with sizeable hubs in Asia Pacific and North America). We ensure exposure to senior leaders to enable you to learn from the very best professionals, all of whom are passionate about your development.
We offer placements in a variety of operations teams; all providing quality in depth training, personal development and real-life work experience to kick start your career.
Our intern programme will see you immersed in a specialist team within our function for ten weeks. This allows you a unique insight into what we do, how we do it while also providing an opportunity to deliver a project that enables you develop professionally.
